WHY D8-1 DATA CENTRE?

STRATEGICALLY LOCATED NEAR MY/TH BORDER

The Open DC D8-1 Datacentre is located in the Delapan Special Border Economic Zone (SBEZ) – a State-owned industrial park situated at the District of Bukit Kayu Hitam, at the border of Malaysia and Thailand.

D8-1 is ideally located at the MY/TH connectivity corridor to meet the colocation requirement of Malaysian, Thailand and Indochina telcos. Our DC offers a carrier-neutral and secured facility suitable for telcos, carrier service provider or enterprises which require non-stop operation and maximum service uptime.

ACCESS TO RICH CONNECTIVITY IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Located at the telco corridor accessible by large varieties of terrestrial and subsea cables, D8-1 is ideally suited to be the interconnect hub for both terrestrial and subsea cable operators. Within the 120KM radius, in additional to more than 20 terrestrial cables, there are also presence of 4 submarine cable landing stations with 16 submarine cables landing, making this area one of the highest-density telco corridor in the region.

DE-CIX PREMIUM-ENABLED SITE

D8-1 will also feature the award-winning DE-CIX Internet Exchange to help to improve regional connectivity via peering. As a DE-CIX Premium-enabled site, D8-1 is an ideal peering location for both OTT and ISP providers to reduce the latency to deliver content to the eyeball users throughout the region. Through colocation in D8-1, OTT can deliver low-latency content not only to the Thailand and Malaysian audiences, but also the South and North Asia audiences via the East-West subsea cables.
